One vocabulary system across native content

Track the Chinese words you meet in real content

Rolko keeps useful Chinese vocabulary from supported subtitles, webpages, transcripts, and pasted text in one system. Mark words as learning or learned, see how much of a text you know, and review saved vocabulary with spaced repetition instead of rebuilding a disconnected list for every video or website.

Worked example: from 学习 in a transcript to scheduled review

The transcript demo above uses Rolko’s shared vocabulary states and coverage calculation, so the example remains inspectable in the page HTML and UI.

  1. Encounter the word in a line

Read “有什么好的学习方法吗?” in the interactive transcript and open 学习 in context.

  2. Inspect and classify it

Review the pinyin and meaning, then keep the existing state or mark the word Learning or Learned.

  3. See the coverage state change

The shared transcript coverage calculation updates from the same vocabulary state rather than a separate marketing-only counter.

  4. Review saved vocabulary

Words kept for learning can enter Rolko’s spaced-repetition review flow alongside vocabulary from other supported surfaces.

Common questions

What to know before you start

Can I import Chinese words I already know?

Yes. Rolko supports importing existing vocabulary so experienced learners do not have to rebuild their known-word list one word at a time.

Can one list include words from videos and websites?

Yes. Supported subtitle, webpage, transcript, and text-reading flows use the same Rolko vocabulary system after sign-in.

What is the difference between learning and learned?

Learning marks vocabulary you are actively working on. Learned records vocabulary you already know while keeping it available for progress and review logic.

Does Rolko use spaced repetition?

Yes. Saved vocabulary can enter Rolko’s spaced-repetition review workflow.

Can vocabulary coverage prove that I understand a text?

No. Word coverage is a vocabulary estimate, not a guarantee of comprehension. Grammar, context, names, and segmentation also affect understanding.
